A. Information You Provide
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
- Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, and authentication credentials when you create an account.
- Vehicle Information: License plate, vehicle type, and other details you choose to store for parking and alert features.
- User Content: Photos, notes, or other information you submit, including parking-related photos or reports.
- Communications: Messages or feedback you send to us, including support requests.
B. Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Services, we may automatically collect:
- Location Data: With your permission, precise or approximate location data to provide parking alerts, regulation awareness, and related features.
- Usage Data: App interactions, feature usage, crash logs, and diagnostic data.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, app version, and unique identifiers.
C. Camera and Photos
If you choose to use features that require images (such as taking photos related to parking, vehicle status, or profile images), the app may request camera access. Camera access is only used when you explicitly choose to take a photo.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and operate the VLEYR Services
- Deliver parking alerts, reminders, and location-based features
- Store and manage vehicle and user-submitted data
- Improve app performance, reliability, and user experience
- Communicate with you regarding updates, support, and important notices
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized use
- Comply with legal obligations
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information only in the following circumstances:
A. Service Providers
We use trusted third-party service providers to help operate the Services, including:
- Firebase (authentication, database, analytics, and storage)
- Stripe (payment processing, where applicable)
- Cloud infrastructure and monitoring providers
These providers are contractually required to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify.
B. Legal and Safety Reasons
We may disclose information if required to do so by law, legal process, or government request, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of VLEYR, our users, or others.
C. Business Transfers
If VLEYR is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to continued privacy protections.
4. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Services and fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
For insurance, legal, and compliance purposes, we retain key account data for up to seven (7) years, even after an account deletion request.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 7).
5. Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
6. Your Choices and Controls
You have control over your information, including:
- Location Permissions: You can enable or disable location access in your device settings.
- Camera Access: You can deny camera access; camera use is optional.
- Account Information: You can review and update your account details in the app.
- Notifications: You can manage notification preferences through your device or app settings.
7. Account Deletion and Data Requests
To delete your account in the app, go to Account → Settings → Delete Account and confirm the prompt.

We will process deletion requests in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Certain key account data may be retained for up to seven (7) years for insurance and legal compliance.
8. Children's Privacy
VLEYR is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child, we will take steps to delete it.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by other appropriate means. The updated policy will be effective when posted.
